First real day and camping!

When I woke up this morning (at almost 2pm) I had to hurry and get up because we were going out for lunch. The others wanted to get döner but the place was too full so we got to go to my favorite restaurant. I am a person who really hates cooked fish, and usually I won't eat it at all. That just shows how good this restaurant is, because it serves nothing but fish and yet I make sure to visit at least once every time I'm here. I had the fish and chips like always... So good! When we went home we had to hurry again because we're camping with family friends this weekend. Long story short, I'm in a sleeping bag meant for people camping in Antarctica (no joke, it will keep you warm in many negative degrees Celsius) while it rains and rains and rains. Well, it's a German summer, what did I expect!

Hello Europe!

So I made it alright, and I'm not even jetlagged! Not tired at all, which is great! Except that it'll probably kick in tomorrow... Well anyway when I arrived I went straight to the apartment (I'm staying with family) and unpacked, then we all went out for dinner. Since there's this awesome dessert that I haven't seen anywhere else but here, we decided to go eat spaghetti and then go have dessert of spaghetti ice cream. What they do is put a bit clump of whipped cream in a bowl, then they put vanilla ice cream through a press that makes it look like spaghetti and put it in top of the whipped cream. They then put "tomato sauce" that's actually strawberry or raspberry sauce on top, then top it all off with some "cheese" that's actually shaved white chocolate. The place we went to also added nuts, wafers, eager straws, and (quite randomly) flags on top.

Flying and Fear

So I have a phobia, emetophobia, I'll get to that later, but today I've been freaking out because of it. It's the fear of being sick, like being sick if you know what I mean. I can't even say it... Anyway I'm flying over to germany today for the next month and my fear has been killing me. Whatever, I can deal! I'm strong!... I hope... Boarding in like ten minutes, overnight flight... It'll be fine... I just bought a neck pillow since I don't have one. Maybe I'll sleep! Alright, wish me luck...

To whomever it may concern...

My name is Anja, and like so many people, I've decided to start a blog. Now, because of who I am, I can't promise to update every day, or even not to forget about this for weeks at a time. However, I do have the intention to post as often as I can! What will I be posting about, you ask? Well, I have a super exciting life! I sit in bed all day with my wonderful poodle pup, Zuzie, and watch Netflix. But worry not! I occasionally have interesting things that happen to me... Like this: in approximately 24 hours, I will be at the airport getting ready to fly to Germany! I am making it my goal to write about my life. I will also share any awesome life tips, delicious recipes, incredible books/authors/shows, dog training stuff... You get the idea!
